Service Description:

Multiethnic centre offering services for refugees, immigrants and residents
Settlement services include:
- Needs assessment and information and referral to community and social services
- Support finding housing, child care, health care, registering children in school
- Help filling out government forms including housing
- Community support: volunteer befriending, conversation circles (English only)
- Connecting to language classes
- Stress reduction workshops for adjusting to Canadian culture
- Citizenship Test preparation classes
- Short-term counselling
- Job search centre
- Employment counselling, skills and career development
- Settlement workers in schools - outreach program in elementary and secondary schools
- Yearly income tax return clinic for low-income newcomers
Additional services include:
