Service Description: A volunteer-based space consisting of:
  • Food Centre, an on-campus food support and advocacy service
  • Foot Patrol, a safe walk and safety-oriented service

Strives to offer direct, timely, and substantive support to the Carleton community

The Emergency Essentials Assistance Program: provides food hampers to students in need and offers both a pick-up and delivery option (only offered to Carleton Students depending on class schedule and residential location)

Safe Walk:
Call 613-520-4066 or drop by the office to request a safe walk by two of the volunteers anywhere on campus and up to 1 hour off campus * available Mon-Fri 2pm-2am, Sat-Sun 6pm-2am

Walk and Talk: offers an alternative to the safe walk service by giving the option to chat with a USC volunteer over the phone until the person reaches their destination * call 613-520-4449 Mon-Fri 2pm-2am, Sat-Sun 6pm-2am

Borrow a First Aid Kit: offers first aid kits to any Carleton University student or group that wants to borrow one * small, car, standard, daypack, compact, and survival backpack kits * service is free, though a $10 or $20 deposit depending on the kit chosen is required

Application: Fill out a form, available online and in person, 24 hours prior to food pickup
