Black & White Gala Preparation Underway for 2014
Pembroke - Last year’s Black & White Gala raised the bar for entertainment and culinary prowess, and preparations are now underway for the Ninth Annual Black & White Gala. On Saturday, October 18th, please join us at the stately Normandy Officers’ Mess at Garrison Petawawa with its dramatic view of the Ottawa River for a four-course gourmet dinner, live music, and camaraderie – the premiere social event of the year.
“In 2013, the Ghost Town Cryers kept our patrons dancing past 2 a.m., and we are looking to grow our black-tie affair even more this year,” reflected an excited Monique Partello, Chair of the Gala Committee. “We have a new vision and design for the reception and dining room, Ullrich’s unmatchable culinary creations, and a band that plays to our audience and even takes a request or two. If you have never attended, or it has been a while, this year is primed to be our biggest yet.”
Scotiabank is leading the sponsorship drive by pledging $10,000 towards the October event. This is Scotiabank’s seventh gala as the title sponsor, totaling more than $70,000 donated through the annual event alone. Scotiabank, together with hundreds of civic-minded attendees and sponsors have contributed to the annual success of the Black & White Gala, raising over $718,000 for our hospital.
Be sure to purchase your tickets early, so you are not disappointed. For our ninth anniversary, we encourage everyone – businesses and individuals – to join together in celebration of philanthropy and our commitment to exceptional healthcare in our region.
The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation supports programs and services integral to the advancement of healthcare for the citizens of Renfrew County. In the past, the Gala has supported campaigns such as MRI, Dialysis, Maternal/Childcare and the Building Fund. Improvements to our hospital help expand the services available, closer to home.
