City to celebrate National Health and Fitness Day

Ottawa – Residents of Ottawa are encouraged to get active for at least one hour this Saturday as the City declares June 7 as National Health and Fitness Day in Ottawa.

In celebration of National Health and Fitness Day, the City of Ottawa is offering “two-for-one” public swimming admission at City operated pools during regular scheduled public swim sessions. In addition, six pools will be offering free public swimming during one of their regularly scheduled public swim sessions.

New this year is the opportunity to try out a fitness class or weight room for free. Bring along a friend and take part in aquafitness, cycling, a group fitness class or a workout.
