Unadjuvanted vaccine now available for pregnant women

All pregnant women can now get their H1N1 vaccine, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit has announced.

“We have received a supply of unadjuvanted vaccine, which is for pregnant women only at this time,” said Dr. Michael Corriveau, Medical Officer of Health.

The unadjuvanted vaccine for pregnant women is given at health unit offices in Pembroke, Renfrew, Arnprior and in Barry’s Bay by appointment. Please call 613-735-8651 ext. 661 or 1-800-267-1097 ext. 661 to make an appointment.

The vaccine for pregnant women will also be available at community clinics, but if you don’t want to wait in line, make an appointment and get it at a health unit office.
