Service Description: Helps mothers during pregnancy, labor, and birth with continued visiting up to six weeks after the birth. Primary midwives are assigned to one patient at a time.
  • Low intervention care with appropriate use of technology where clinically indicated
  • The Collective is a teaching practice, which means that student midwives may be involved in birth care. Depending on their level of expertise, they may be observing prenatal visits, labours, births, and the postpartum or be taking on the responsibilities of a primary midwife if they are in their final year

Fees: Service - Covered by the Ministry of Health for residents of Ontario

Eligibility / Target Population: Healthy women who have a low risk pregnancy and are residents of Ontario
