Service Description:
|
Offered in partnership with ‘le Transit’ * allows young parents to finish their secondary education while benefiting from childcare service and support adapted to their life circumstances * the program aims at the:
- improvement of the living conditions of young parents and their children
- development of parental aptitudes and autonomy of young parents
- optimization of the child’s development by enforcing the attachment bond
- promotion and use of resources, according to the needs
The services offered are diverse (individual support, therapy/counselling, company in place of living, thematic workshops and community clinics and activities) and target the development of knowledge, parenting skills, autonomy and the young parent’s self-esteem leading to the optimal and healthy development of the child
Note: le childcare service is offered through Les Petites Frimousses * the individual education program is recognized by the Ministry of education of Ontario

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Young parent 14-18 years old who is pregnant or 14 to 21 years old with child/children * has to be a resident of the city of Ottawa and is able to receive services in French
