Most Homesharers are already active in the community, attending a wide variety of Day Options and supports in both English and French including supported employment at minimum wage or better in an integrated setting, or work options in segregated settings and supports other than work such as life skills, leisure and community participation * Individuals may participate on a part-time or full-time basis
The Homeshare Provider receives a daily per diem for room and board and for care and supervision for each Homesharer * The Homeshare Provider also receives an additional payment for relief allowance built into their per diem, as well as seven days of respite * The Homesharer and the Homeshare Provider receives ongoing support from the Homeshare Program Case Managers who make regular visits to provide assistance and guidance
