Service Description:

Program for households with low or moderate incomes that provides funding for major repairs and rehabilitation required to make a house safe * emergency repairs only * modifications include: heating systems * chimneys * doors and windows * foundations * roofs * walls * floors and ceilings * vents * louvers * electrical systems * plumbing * septic systems * well water * well drilling
Offers housing modifications to increase accessibility * ramps * handrails * chair and bath lifts * height adjustments to counter tops * cues for doorbells and fire alarms
Homeownership Component: aims to assist low-to-moderate-income renter households to purchase affordable homes within Prescott and Russell by providing down payment assistance in the form of a forgivable loan * The eligible unit types are detached, semi-detached, townhouses (condominiums and freehold), stacked homes, row houses, apartments, or other similar built forms approved by the Ministry

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
- At least one member of the household must be 18 years of age
- The household must not currently own a home or have a vested interest in any real estate in the last 5 years
- The household must be purchasing their sole and principal residence
- The total gross annual combined of the adult household members must not exceed $109,000
- The purchase price of a home must not exceed $462,417
- The household must have a valid preapproved mortgage from a leading financial institution
