Service Description: Non-profit organization * directed and run by psychiatric consumer/survivors that provides peer support

For peers:
* educational and fun workshops
* social and recreational events
* outings
* support groups
* volunteer opportunities
* Peer Support Line for PSO members and people in hospital to access by phone at 613-567-4379 or receive telephone peer support * Visit the website for details

For friends and family of people experiencing mental health challenges:

* Family Peer Support: Ongoing weekly drop in family support groups * weekly discussions on various topics such as communication strategies, boundaries, codependency, letting go of control etc. * coffee, snack, sense of community, companionship and support

The Community Transitions Group: A support and social reconnection group that runs on Tuesdays * monthly brainstorm challenges and ideas around transitioning from hospital to community

Fees: Membership fees * Free for community organizations and individuals who self-disclose as living with mental health issues * Includes the use of computers, the library and a lounge area for socializing

Eligibility / Target Population: Individuals 18 years or older having dealt with or dealing with mental health issues * Anyone interested in volunteering or learning more about mental health issues
