have THAT talk Video Series Continues!

In our article on Mental Health Week, we told you to watch for an exciting new Ottawa Public Health resource. Well, it's here!

We have created another series of mental health videos to complement our existing have THAT talk series!

Do you remember our last article on anti-stigma campaigns? Well, we now have a video on stigma that you can incorporate into your plans... and that is just the beginning!

Check out our videos and activity guides for some ideas on how to:

Talk about your own mental health
or illnesses or support others who may share their challenges with you.

Help decrease stigma in our communities and city.

Build your resilience
or help others build their resilience.

Practice taking care of yourself FIRST so you can be the best caregiver possible to someone with mental health challenges or illnesses.

Improve your connections or make new ones in order to protect and improve your mental health.

You can even use these new videos as a way to focus on the 13 factors that make a psychologically healthy and safe workplace.

Each video comes with its own activities for you to use with a group or at a team meeting, or on your own.

We hope the videos and activities will help you:
  • Be more comfortable talking about mental health
  • Learn ways to improve mental health
  • Know where to get help with mental health challenges

If you have any questions or would like to have one of our Public Health Nurses come in to discuss how to use the videos in your workplace, contact our workplace health line; 613-580-6744 ext. 24197 or email us at Workplacehealth@ottawa.ca.
