Launch of a free Clinical Counselling service at LASSA

The Lebanese and Arab Social Services Agency (LASSA) is a service provider organization that facilitates the settlement of newcomers to Canada. As part of its efforts to help in the integration of the Syrian refugees in Canadian society, the agency has launched a new trilingual clinical counselling service (English, French and Arabic).

The counselling service aims to help all eligible refugees suffering from cognitive, emotional and social disorders as well those facing adaptation, family and stress issues to evaluate their thoughts and adopt better coping and management strategies.

The service as already mentioned is available in Arabic and long distance clients are welcome to access online counselling through Skype.

Kindly note also that the counselling program has been established to support Syrian refugees encountering difficulties with their resettlement. With support from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), LASSA will attempt to devise mitigating strategies to assist those who have experienced forced departures and its effects. Services are free to those that qualify.

For appointments (in –person or online) refugees, Sponsorship Agreement Holders, Private Sponsors and Group of Five Sponsors are invited to contact LASSA at the following numbers: 613-236-0003 or 613-236-3111 (ext 224).
