Crossroads Children’s Centre Expands Mental Health Walk-in Clinic. Now Open Wednesday Mornings.

Effective Wednesday, April 15, 2015, Crossroads Children’s Centre will offer its Mental Health Walk-in Clinic on Wednesday mornings from 9am to noon to meet the growing demand for this vital service in the community. Clinic hours on Thursdays remain unchanged (noon-8pm) with the last appointment at 6:30pm.

Crossroads first opened the Walk-in Clinic in November 2011 to respond to an acute need for immediate, barrier-free mental health counselling in the community. To date, over a thousand children and families have been seen.

The Clinic offers families a positive, enthusiastic and non-judgmental environment with a lot of empathy. Crossroads is committed to a strengths-based approach. We recognize that every child and family has strengths that can be nurtured and built upon to improve mental health and family relationships.

We are committed to a child-centered and family-focused approach in the delivery of all our services. In addition to the walk-in setting, Crossroads provides these services and supports in the home, school, and community.
