Landmark study aims to find the causes of cancer and other diseases - Will help improve prevention efforts by understanding why some people get cancer
Ottawa - In advance of World Cancer Day, Health Minister Rona Ambrose commended the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC) for progress it is making with its legacy study of unprecedented cancer research.
This work, known as the Canadian Partnership for Tomorrow Project, involves approximately 300,000 Canadians who are sharing information about their health and lifestyle once or twice a year over the course of their adult lives. The data will help researchers try to answer questions about why some people get cancer and other chronic diseases.
