Sno-Drifters Rev Engines for Health Care

EGANVILLE – The Eganville Sno-Drifters Club revved their engines and put a lot of snow behind them to donate $1,500 to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s MRI: Image Matters Campaign.

Announcing and presenting the gift was Megan Clark, President of the Eganville Sno-Drifters Club. “We are thrilled to be a part of the campaign. Truth be told, it was a lot of fun raising the money by racing through the cold winter months,” laughed Ms. Clark.

With the Clubhouse next to the Benson Sports Oval in Eganville, the Sno-Drifters Club is one of Ontario’s oldest established snowmobile associations. Hosting the annual Bonnechere Cup for over 39 years, the organization also held their first “May Mudder” rally this year, and is looking forward to the 40th anniversary celebrations this coming winter season.

Behind the push for the gift was Merv Boldt, Race Director. “As a committee we sat down to look at what causes were in the area, and how our donation could help the greatest number of people. While you hope you never need an MRI yourself, we all know someone who has needed one,” Mr. Boldt shared.

Accepting the gift was Greg Junop, Donor Relations Coordinator for the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation. “It is inspiring to receive this gift from a group so passionate about their organization, but also about supporting and bettering their community. For that we are honoured.”
