Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is moving to a new location in Kemptville on March 28th, 2013



The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is moving its service delivery site in Kemptville. The location on Asa street will be closed March 26th and 27th, 2013. The new location of the Health Unit's Kemptville service delivery site will open at 2675 Concession Rd in the Kemptville District Hospital on March 28th, 2013.

During the week of March 25th to March 29th, there will be no Sexual Health Clinic or Immunization Clinic services available in Kemptville. Community residents can go to the Smiths Falls Office for these services. The clinic is open Wednesdays 10:30am - 6pm. Immunizations can be booked by appointment in Smiths Falls on Tuesdays. Also there will be no drop off of samples for well water testing during that week but they can be taken to the Smiths Falls office as well.

The new site location is open Mondays to Thursday 8:30am- 4:30pm and Fridays 8:30 - 3:30pm. It is closed over the lunch hour Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The phone number is unchanged at 613-258-5941.

“The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has been serving North Grenville for decades, with public health services being delivered in a number of different sites over the years,” said Medical Officer of Health, Paula Stewart. “We are pleased to have leased space from the Hospital to continue to provide many of our services.”

Public Health Services, Times & Details:

  • Sexual Health Clinics: Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (drop-in - even for PAP tests)
  • Immunization Clinics: Tuesdays, 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (by appointment only – call 613-258-5941 to book)
  • Vaccine pick-up: For local physicians and community health centers (Fridays)
  • Sewage Applications: Applications can be dropped off at Kemptville service site office at 2675 Concession Rd during regular hours.
  • Baby Talk – Kemptville: Wednesdays, 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Ontario Early Years Centre, 33 Clothier St.
  • Good Food for a Healthy Baby: Tuesdays 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Ontario Early Years Centre, 33 Clothier St
  • Prenatal Classes: Ongoing Prenatal Class sessions at Kemptville District Hospital (call 1-800-660-5853 to register)
  • Healthy Babies Healthy Children: Public health nurses provide post partum and home visiting services throughout the community
  • Health Promotion: Public health nurses are available to agencies, clients and community partners to provide consultation, training and resources and collaborate on initiatives.
  • Water Testing: Water bottles can be picked up during regular hours. Samples can be dropped off at the same location, from Monday to Thursday only.
