MRI: Close to Your Heart – Rocking Valentine’s Dance to Support MRI
Pembroke – An old time rock and roll live music dance is set to light up Germania Hall at 8 p.m., Friday February 15th. A group of motivated volunteers from across the community are hosting a Valentine’s Dance to support the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s MRI: Image Matters Campaign.
Event chair, lead singer, event promoter, and MRI: Image Matters Campaign team member Eli Boucher stated, “Having an MRI will provide a new kind of medical support at the Pembroke Regional Hospital. An MRI will be used to help diagnose diseases and injuries that can be quite serious, so it is important to celebrate the magnitude of this project and what it means for our region. What better time than Valentine’s Day?”
With the health and time savings benefits that an MRI will offer the citizens of Renfrew County, this is a cause that is close to all of our hearts.
The event features live music by rollicking good-times band Eli & the Scramblers, delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a night of dancing. In addition to the smile-inducing music, the event will also feature a silent auction. Businesses from across the Ottawa Valley have donated items ranging from spa treatments to Ottawa Senators tickets, to tool sets which revelers can bid on, all in support of MRI.
Tickets are selling fast, and only a few remain! For tickets to a perfect date night, contact the Foundation office, 613 732 2811 ext 7408, or pick up a pair at any Moncion Grocers locations.
