The Hospice at May Court Launches 9th Annual Homes for the Holidays

Ottawa: The 9th annual Homes for the Holidays charity house tour supports end-of-life and palliative care programs offered at The Hospice at May Court. It is The Hospice’s largest annual fundraiser.

The tour takes place on November 4, 5 and 6 between 10 am and 4 pm each day. During this tour, some 2,500 visitors will visit six magnificent Ottawa homes in Centretown, Old Ottawa South, Vanier and Rockliffe each beautifully decorated for the holidays by top Ottawa florists. Tour ticket booklets on sale Sept 9th for $35 each ($38 by PayPal). Ticket holders can visit each home and a one-of-a-kind artisan boutique and café at The Hospice in any order over the three days.

Each participant receives a tour ticket booklet that describes each home, provides maps and showcases all Hospice supporters. The ticket booklets are available at various locations throughout the city or by PayPal. See www.hospicemaycourt.com for more information.

Since 1987, The Hospice at May Court has provided and developed palliative and end-of-life care services at no cost, to patients and their families while serving all religions and cultures. This charitable care is provided by the small dedicated staff and by 500 volunteers in a supportive and peaceful setting in Old Ottawa South that reflects a home environment. The Hospice services - Home Support, Day Hospice, Residential Hospice and Family Support, are all provided at no cost. In order to continue this broad mandate, the Hospice relies on the generosity and support of the community.
