CCH unveils draft strategic plan
Tuesday, September 21, 2010 – With the support of the Champlain LHIN, the Province of Ontario and our community, Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) is currently undergoing the largest hospital redevelopment in forty years. As part of the planning process for our eventual transition to our new facilities we have developed a strategic plan which will guide the hospital’s direction for the next five years.
A key component in the development of this plan is the engagement and consultation of community partners. On the morning of Monday, September 13th hospital representatives met with community partners to provide an overview of CCH’s draft strategic plan and to retrieve feedback, input, and evoke discussion.
The plan features a revised Mission, Vision and Values as well as four revised strategic directions. The identified strategic directions, or organizational pillars include: healthy system integration; excellence in quality and service delivery; outstanding operational and financial performance; and people development/workplace of choice. These priorities are consistent with those of the Champlain Local Health Integration Network and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
“We were pleased with the level of engagement and discussion from those in attendance,” stated CCH Chief Executive Officer, Jeanette Despatie. “We fully recognize and value the partnerships and collaboration that is required on the part of all organizations who contribute to the health and delivery of health services to the communities that we serve.”
The plan, in its draft format, is available review and comments and is posted on CCH’s website (www.cornwallhospital.ca).
