Champlainhealthline.ca now connecting residents to health care

OTTAWA (April 6, 2009) - The Champlain Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) is pleased to introduce www.champlainhealthline.ca – a comprehensive web resource for health care and social services information in the Champlain region.

Champlainhealthline.ca puts accurate and up-to-date information in English and French at the fingertips of residents and helps them make informed choices about their health care and social well-being. The web site connects users to information on health and social services; health care facilities; health care professionals; support groups; home health care; clinics and classes; chronic disease self management resources; and local health careers, news and events. To keep information current, Champlainhealthline.ca has been innovatively designed to allow health and social service providers to update their agency records, and to post career opportunities, news and events.

“Champlainhealthline.ca provides an important connection for residents and health care and social services providers,” says Senior Director of Client Services Kim Peterson. “The Champlain CCAC is pleased to have produced this valuable web resource and we are looking forward to watching it grow into the go-to site for health care and social services information in the Champlain region.”

Champlainhealthline.ca covers services in Renfrew County; Ottawa; Prescott and Russell; Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry; North Lanark and North Grenville.

Champlainhealthline.ca was created in partnership with thehealthline.ca and Community Information Centre of Ottawa, representing the Eastern Ontario Data Partners.
