Childbirth - Champlain

This section lists medical services related to the delivery and follow-up care of babies. See Prenatal Classes and Programs for services that offer advice and information for all stages of pregnancy, childbirth and the care of your baby.

Referral to an Obstetrician is made through your family doctor. If you have a preference, let your doctor know at which hospital you would like to give birth. Some Family Doctors deliver babies. Ask your Family Doctor; shared care can be arranged. Midwifery services are available to deliver the baby, either at home or hospital, and to provide support before and after the birth.
