Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR) is an exercise program for residents with COPD. A PR program helps to decrease shortness of breath and improve quality of life. There are three components of a pulmonary rehabilitation: cardio training, muscle strengthening and lung health education. Programs can be run in hospital or in the community. For more information about pulmonary rehabilitation, you can access the ‘Breathing Easier’ guide.
