Service Description: Provides the following programs for adolescents and adults with developmental delays:
  • Adult Day Program: Offered five days per week Monday to Friday and includes: Educational, Stimulation and Social Program * General Life Skills: literacy and numeracy for daily living * Artistic Impressions: theatre, artwork, gardening * Outdoor Activities: nature trails on the property, games, athletics * Excursions * Vocational training
  • Adolescent and Adult Respite : Week-end respite from Friday 4 pm to Sun 3 pm, or flexible scheduling to accommodate families. Short and long term respite care offered for emergencies and respite for caregivers
  • Horseback Riding Program - Spring and Fall sessions
  • Camps: March Break camp; Summer Day and Horseback Riding Camp
  • Behaviour Assistance Program - for children within the Autism Spectrum manifesting ODD, OCD, Aggressive and Self injurious behaviours
  • Family Counselling/Mentoring program - in home assistance for parents and children to improve quality of life
  • Assistive Respite Program - financial relief for registered families
  • Presentation - bookings for health care professionals, educators and parents regarding the Behaviour Assistance Program
Fees: Service - $100 per day, $300 per 24 hr respite period
Application: Call to schedule an appointment to register for day program, respite and summer camps. Registration forms need to be completed before attendance.
Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Programs offered for specific age groups * Adolescents: 12 years - 18 years * Adults 19 years of age and over * Variety of programs offered for individuals with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS), Aspergers, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Acquired brain injuries
